What is FeedBack?
A program created by TurkeyMan, FeedBack (abbreviated dB) is rapidly revolutionizing the way custom note charts are created. The program creates
note charts by displaying a fret board similar to the one found in Guitar Hero. Then, you can place notes directly onto the fret
board, thus creating your note chart. It is also able to play back your song, which helps in
syncing as well as figuring out the
correct notes and rhythms. However, FeedBack will only accept audio files in .ogg or .mp3
format. FeedBack creates a .chart file, which, is similar to the Guitar Hero .mid, in a sense. However, Guitar
Hero can not read this file, it must be converted. GHEx version 0.4.3 will automatically do this conversion.
How can I learn how to use FeedBack?
FeedBack's user interface was designed with you in mind! Actually, the tool is quite simple to learn, and has many tutorials
to ensure that you can start making quality note charts on your first shot. Direct your attention to these guides, where you'll
find all the information and more about FeedBack.
- The FeedBack thread (where all questions regarding dB are to be posted) -Here.
- The guide to making charts with dB (where all tips and trick about using dB are to be posted) -Here.
- Lighting / Band / Track events -Here.
- Gokussj5okazu's guide to Advanced dB editing -Here.
- Finalizer 's guide to using Anchors -Here.
- Boot's guide to properly syncing songs with dB -Here.
To get this out of the way:
- Hammer On's and Pull Off's are not written in the note chart, and so, there is no way to write them in dB because the note chart
does not control HO/PO, the Guitar Hero engine does.
- To place Hold/Held notes using dB, Hold the key you want and press the Up arrow.
